We work on a small number of products at a time and take them the whole way — research, design, engineering, release and support. That means the people who decide what something should do are the same people who build it.

Design and engineering under one roof, so decisions and consequences stay together.
Verified before announced
We test our work before we describe it. Where something is unfinished, we say so.
Long horizons
We build products meant to be used for years, not campaigns meant to be launched once.

A deliberately narrow toolkit, chosen for longevity rather than novelty.
Native, not wrapped
We write directly against the platform — Swift and SwiftUI on Apple devices — so our software behaves the way the system expects rather than approximating it.
Works when the network doesn't
Software should stay useful on a bad connection or none at all. We design for that case first rather than treating it as an edge.
Privacy as an engineering constraint
What our software collects, keeps and sends is a design decision we make deliberately — and each product states its own answer in its privacy details.
Measured, not asserted
Performance and correctness are held to written budgets and automated checks. A claim we cannot demonstrate is a claim we do not make.
Few dependencies
Every third-party component is a long-term liability. We take on very few, pin what we take, and read what we ship.
Built to be maintained
Software outlives the enthusiasm that produced it. We favour approaches a small team can still support in five years.
Accessible from the start
Type scaling, contrast, motion preferences and screen readers are part of the build, not a pass someone makes at the end.
Owned end to end
We run our own tooling and infrastructure, so we can fix what breaks instead of waiting on someone whose priorities are not ours.
Common questions
What kind of software do you build?
Consumer software for personal use — the kind someone opens on their own device rather than software a company buys on their behalf. Our current work concerns personal organisation: helping people keep hold of what they are responsible for.
When does your first product ship?
It is in development and unreleased. We announce dates only once we can keep them, and it will be listed on this site the day it is available.
How do I hear about it when it launches?
Write to contact@memoriostudio.com and we will let you know. We would rather answer a short email than run a list you have to remember unsubscribing from.
Do you work with partners?
We are open to conversations about partnerships, licensing and distribution. Write to us with what you have in mind.
Are you hiring?
No open roles at the moment. If you build things carefully and want to be considered when that changes, send us something you have made.
How do I report a security or privacy issue?
Email us with enough detail to reproduce it. We will acknowledge your report and ask for a reasonable window to fix the issue before it is disclosed publicly.
